Lake Blanche is a small lake in the Butler Chain of Lakes. It is certainly not the smallest or the the most shallow. This lake is connected to Lake Chase by a fairly decent sized canal. Most lake boats can make the passage and I have myself.
Lake Blanche has the deepest mean depth on the Butler Chain. That does not mean that it is the deepest lake but it may be. The mean depth based on multiple sites is 27 feet. The overall surface area of the lake is 126 acres and the lake holds just over one billion gallons of water.
What does that water look like? The lake itself was clear the last time that I was on it. The canal may be less clear because of runoff and boat traffic.
Isleworth is on the north and northeast side of the lake. For golfers out there the third hole of Isleworth is just on the other side of the tree line on the Northeast shore. The Isle of Osprey is along the southwest shore and North Bay runs along the south and southeastern shoreline which is also technically Orlando.
Lake Blanche is a gorgeous lake and very private. Living along its shores is great and especially if you have a boat dock. Although North Bay is well established there were recently new homes built on the shore line of this lake. One Elon Mush would have to purchase. We hope this has wet your appetite about the Butler Chain and Lake Blanche in FL.
