Windermere FL Shopping

Most shopping in Windermere FL is done at small to medium sized shopping centers. There is some shopping in Windermere Town but while it is nice it is also limited. Some residents on the periphery of the town obviously shop in other cities.

The shopping centers can be grouped into three or four geographic areas. north Windermere, eastern Windermere, west Windermere and if you so desired Horizon West which to me is just west Windermere.

East Windermere has The Grove within the 34786 zip-code which is referred to as Windermere. People who live in northeast Windermere may well go to Gotha or Metrowest for their shopping wants or needs.

Northern Windermere Florida I consider communities directly north of the Town of Windermere to Belmere Village which borders Ocoee. Many of these residents will visit the Plantation Grove Shopping Center Publix which is actually in Ocoee.

Around two miles further into Ocoee and you will reach the Walmart Supercenter and even the Ocoee Hospital. Just south of the Plantation Grove Publix you have the Shoppes of Belmere which is in Windermere. Keep in mind crossing the street here places you in Ocoee which is not our focus. However, there are numerous shops and stores in the area of Belmere in north Windermere.

Western Windermere is another interesting place. Everything on Winter Garden Vineland Road north of the Summerport community is actually not in Windermere. There is shopping here and within 5 minutes to the north of Summerport, if you can’t buy it then you probably don’t really need it. Or at least it is a more unique item.

South of Summerport and in still in west Windermere FL you will quickly come upon the Windermere Village and the Cornerstone at Summerport. These two locations are the most well known in this part of the city. A lesser-known group of shops is located just south of Keenes Crossing Elementary. Those shops are on the west side of Summerport and just barely in Windermere.

The newest addition to Windermere FL shopping is Westside Shoppes which is just north of Lakeside Village. Much more on these locations is coming soon. Rest assured no matter where you live in the city you will have Windermere FL Shopping available.
