Actually Lake Isleworth has had more than two names. Those renaming days are now over for the foreseeable future as Isleworth is probably not fading away anytime soon.
Likely the most impact that this lake will ever have is being a go between. This lake does connect to Lake Tibet aka Lake Tibet Butler and via Lake Louise to the namesake of the Butler Chain which is of course Lake Butler.
Lake Isleworth has a surface area of just 46 acres. There are 640 acres in a square mile so as you can see this lake is rather small. The mean depth is usually very steady at 17 feet and the lake holds just over 300 Million Gallons.
One of the interesting things about this lake is it is the host of one of the two public access boat ramps providing access to the Butler Chain. The other is on the south side of Lake Down and is certainly not a good choice for a boat over 16 feet long or to maneuver a truck with a boat trailer. Trust me, if you have a regular boat just use RD Keene and pay the $5. You get to park and it is just far safer.
The lake has passable canals suitable for most vessels you will be launching. Along the shoreline there are homes but only a few and only in two communities. Namely Keenes Pointe and Isleworth. This is a beautiful lake and we hope you come visit Lake Isleworth in Windermere FL.
