Lake Tibet or Lake Tibet Butler as some call it is a large lake in the Butler Chain of Lakes. Some of its shoreline falls in Windermere and some falls in Orlando FL. This is a very special lake which measures over 2 miles from it's northernmost to southernmost points.
Lake Tibet is a gorgeous lake and actually still has some undeveloped shoreline. Element Homes has noticed but enough about that for now. The lake has 1,078 surface acres. Since there are 640 acres in a square mile that means there are 1.68 square miles of water surface for boating or water sports.
That is all most people need I can tell you from experience during a storm Lake Tibet is large enough to get pretty rough. The mean depth is derived from taking multiple measurements in the lake and choosing the number in the middle. The mean depth is just 18 feet but the lake still holds over 6.4 billion gallons of water.
The south end of Lake Tibet (shown above) has a passable canal with no bridge over it. The canal passes through to Lake Sheen which is in turn connected to Pocket Lake which is in turn connected to Little Fish Lake. Little Fish Lake being the southernmost member of the Butler Chain of Lakes.
The Shoreline of Lake has some interesting things about it. Keenes Pointe is on the north and west shoreline, the Isleworth tennis center and the Isleworth boat ramp are on the north shore. Along the eastern shore Bay Hill has many homes and has a boat ramp for residents.
Of course the western shoreline has the sunrise and can see the lights etc. from the parks over to the east. However the eastern shoreline has sunset and the nightly fireworks over the castle in the Magic Kingdom. All in all this is a beautiful body of water. Take or rent a boat and get out there and enjoy Lake Tibet FL.
