Little Lake Down is only 25 square acres. The smallest lake in the Butler Chain is actually Unnamed Lake which is 14 acres. What you see here is the reason why some locals will claim only 11 lakes in the Butler Chain.
Little Lake Down is basically a named cove of Lake Down. It is located on the northwest shore of its namesake and just north of the canal which leads to Wauseon Bay and beyond.
The lake is a clear body of water and the canal is deep and wide enough for most lake boats and lake boaters to easily pass through. There are some beautiful homes around this lake and some more right behind them. Lakefront living just north of Windermere Town.
If you are looking to choose a lake to live on Lake Down and Little lake Down are good choices. The lake does not seem to be to heavily trafficker although I do see some people fishing the lake. That is always a good sign though. Contact us if your interested in a home on Little Lake Down.
