Magnolia St in east Windermere FL is about 3,000 feet in length. Magnolia St runs parallel to Oakdale Street and Main Street which are both to the west. Magnolia has its own attractions and makes its own contributions to the beautiful town of Windermere FL.
Magnolia Street has a mixture of lakefront homes and traditional community homes. The road is a dirt road but it is kept smooth by a small tractor similar to a steamroller. The only downfall to the street is that you will find it narrow in places. For this reason it is not to heavily trafficked.
The homes on Lake Down are on the east side of Magnolia Street and toward its' northern end. Although Magnolia does near Lake Bessie it has no lakefront homes there. Also among the lakefront residences you will find the Lake Street Park hidden on E 4th Avenue.
There are several homes on the street built before 1920. Although I love modern comforts I have also always loved older homes. These homes are in far better shape than many of the older homes in Florida. Of course they are in a far better city as well. There are older homes in this town and they are all interesting to view. This is a great city for those who like homes built anywhere from the early 1900's forward. Now some custom builders are making leaps into the 21st century and within the city limits. Thankfully not yet on Magnolia St in Windermere FL.
