Butler Street in west Windermere FL is an amazing street just 2 blocks from Main Street. Not only is it fairly long but it also has both lakefront homes on it and one of the older homes in the city. You can't go wrong in Windermere but with a lakefront home on Butler Street your doing incredible.
Butler St is over half of a mile long from its' northern end to where it runs into Fernwood Park on it's southern end. Just north of the ramp at Fernwood Park there are a dozen lakefront homes along the shoreline of Lake Butler. These homes have an incredible sunset to enjoy almost every night. Being a resident of Windermere Town gives you access to the park but the lakefront homes have boat docks anyway.
The oldest home on the street was built in 1925. It's address is 227 W 2nd Avenue but is along the side of Butler Street (corner lot). This is a prime example of how long a great metal roof will hold up as will good construction. Pretty house also.
The road itself is a dirt road and yes it lake many Windermere Streets gets very narrow at times. You will need to practice your manors on occasion as residents often stroll the streets here.
