Do Renters Have Any Rights In Florida?
Yes and many of them. The Florida Landlord Tenant Law overrides any lease contract. In addition any property management company must abide by all Fair Housing Laws. The most common issue is the mishandling of the security deposit.
A renter or tenant cannot be kicked our for no reason or without abiding by the law. Often an eviction process is required but you will need to check with your individual county to learn more about that. There are notice requirements required for late rent, eviction and security deposit issues.
