Windermere FL Housing Market

The housing market in Windermere FL has been strong for quite some time. Recent changes have caused a slight downturn even in Windermere. What will the future bring? We shall see soon enough but I doubt Windermere will be as effected as much as some other locations.

Let's take a look at the overall numbers over the previous 30 days and some of the larger communities here in the city. This morning I looked at quite a few different cities and areas in Central Florida and some areas are definitely slowing.

Sales In The Previous 30 Days

• Windermere- 50 down from 67 Homes Sold. Median Price $750,000 up from $677,000

• Isleworth- 0 NA

• Keenes Pointe- 7 Homes Sold. Median Price $1,550,000

• Windermere Trails- 2 Homes Sold. Median Price $912,000

• Summerport- 6 Homes Sold. Median Price $581,000

Those numbers still look fairly strong. However the overall trend in Central FL is fewer sales at this time. What should a buyer do? Of course that is a personnel decision but ask yourself this. Do I expect interest rates to go down significantly? The answer to that is probably not. If it were me, and it is not me. I would buy the location and affordability and just plan on keeping my home for 5 to 10 years. This is probably not the time to buy just any home to try to flip it.
