Lake Sheen of the Butler Chain of Lakes in Florida is a medium sized lake. This lake is often overlooked because it is south of Windermere FL and the more famous lakes and communities. There are many great things about the lake and what is on it's shores.
One of my favorite things about Lake Sheen is it is often overlooked. Meaning not that many people venture this far south on the Butler Chain of Lakes. Lake sheen is a great body of water and, it has the Orange County Sportsman's Club on it's eastern shore. If, you boat and live near this part of the chain then this is the best ramp.
The fees for joining the club are nominal. Boat parking is available but there is a waiting list as space is limited to I believe under 50. There is more to the Sportsman's Club and it is relatively inexpensive.
Lake Sheen is about 1 mile east to west and north to south. Of course it is not a cube and its shoreline varies. The total area is 570 acres and a perfect square mile is 640 acres. The lake has a mean depth of 15 feet and it holds an amazing 2.7 billion gallons of water.
On the west coast of Lake Sheen is West Beach Park. West beach Park on Lake Sheen is a great place to visit and many local residents do that daily. Element Homes is also building a new community on this shoreline and it will be amazing. Get out there and explore Lake Sheen FL.
