W 7th Avenue in Windermere FL is an interesting albeit short street. W 7th Ave runs from Main Street to Butler Street on its western end. W 7th Ave is only two blocks long and runs just over 700 feet in length. It like most roads in the town of Windermere can get somewhat narrow.
W 7th Avenue is the home to more than one interesting place. The schoolhouse shown above is the most interesting. You will find it 1/2 of a block off of Main Street and on the north side of this one. There is a wooden fence around this 2.5 acre area that is likely period correct for the days of the school house. Worth a visit, ring the bell if its during the day.
At the western end of W 7th Avenue is Fernwood Park. Fernwood Park is where you will find the boat ramp and pier in the city. You can easily see Bird Island from the park but the park is now gated. Only the residents of the town of Windermere are allowed to use it.
There are two homes on this street which were built in the 1920's. One in 1920 and one in 1924. There is another built in 1940. You will be able to spot them and if you like interesting homes they are worth driving by. There are also two homes which are lakefront on Lake Butler on the end of W 7th Ave in Windermere FL.
