Windermere Village is located just south of Windermere High School. This amazing group of restaurants and stores has only been with us for a few years but what a convenient and pleasant addition it has been. With it's metal roof and selection of stores it does set itself apart from the Cornerstone at Summerport which is nearby.
Windermere Village's largest store is Aldi Supermarket. For those who have not been to an Aldi Supermarket please allow me to share with you that they have been around for a long time and there are literally tens of thousands of them. Aldi also owns Trader Joes. Pricing is advertised to be better on many items but they also carry fewer brands. Go there, try it and if you like it tell some fiends. Then maybe you can meet some of those friends for coffee or a meal at one of the following restaurants.
For those who are fans of burgers and most Americans are you may recognize this establishment. There is also one over in east Windermere at The Grove. I really like Burger Fi and the food is consistently good without costing to much. The place is trendy in appearance and primarily serves burgers, hotdogs and amazing french fries. You can also get beer or wine and yes they provide takeout, delivery and of course Dine in.
Another Fantastic Option is Bruster's. Bruster's Ice Cream is a well established business that offers what I consider gourmet ice-cream. It is made there daily and yes they have dairy free ice cream as well. You can also purchase sherbets, ices and sorbets. This is a fantastic addition to this part of Windermere especially considering our hot summer days. No worries, plenty to keep you cool at the Windermere Village.
Josie's Pizza and Wings has become one of the hottest searches on google for Windermere pizza places. Part of that is their amazing location and those bright red letters. Good for them and great for Windermere residents. The Josie's Pizza and Wings menus includes, pizza, subs, specialty pies, wings, calzones, specialty deserts and of course assorted beverages.
The Windermere Village was a fantastic contribution to the city. It has a memorable look and actually complements the look of the Windermere High School to the north. A word to the wise, do not drop off students and warn the students not to park there all day. Parking is for patrons only which helps make your trip there more enjoyable. There is much more to see there so stop by and visit the Windermere Village in Windermere FL.
