Windstone in Windermere FL is located in the west side of the city. Windstone is a fairly small community on the westside of Highway 535 and contains only 63 homes. CalAtlantic was the home builder and these homes sold for top dollar when built.

Windstones’ only community entrance is on Overstreet Road. There is no real need for another entrance of exit as traffic here is very light. I can’t believe Windstone has been a part of Windermere this long. Time has really flown by but this community still looks great. The first of the homes were built in 2015 and the final homes just before 2020.

How popular were/ are these Windstone homes? Those of us who were here will remember that the homes on the north side of Windstone sold for cash only. The popularity of the homes in this Calatlantic community allowed them to sell for over appraised value. That doesn’t happen very often and many people I am sure do not remember because prices have even gone up since then.

Windstone Nearby Parks

Amenities here are somewhat sparse. Let’s face it you really don’t need much in Windermere anyway. Some of the homes have private pools and there are some really good parks and even boat ramps nearby. 5 minutes will put you at RD Keene Park on the typical day.

There is also a great park just south of Keenes Pointe with tons of great trails and things to see. Downtown Orlando is about 30 minutes away via the Florida Turnpike.

Shopping is a real breeze from Windstone. Either north, south or west places you around stores and service providers in around 3-5 miles.
