Lake Sawyer in Windermere FL and Little Lake Sawyer could easily be the same lake. They are joined by a passable channel. These lakes are located in west Windermere FL and on the west side of the Winter Garden Vineland Road. It is however difficult to see the lakes from the road.
Lake Sawyer is the southern most of these two lakes. It is plenty large enough for small to medium sized lake boats. You rarely see watercraft on the lake because there is no public boat launch. The street that passes by the south end of the lake is actually named Lake Sawyer Drive. Where the street passes nearest to the lake there is a pier that has a great view of the lake.
Lake Sawyer has a total surface area of just 93 acres. The mean depth is 17 feet deep and the lake holds over 500 million gallons. Communities on this lake include the Lakes of Windermere which is on the west side and a couple of smaller communities on it's east shore line.
Little Lake Sawyer found on the north end also is very private. Other than Sawyer Sound and the Providence community there are no well known communities on the lake and there is a lot of undeveloped shoreline remaining. This lake has a surface area of 61 acres and a similar depth. The homes are amazing and lakefront living is like no other. Contact us about living on a lake like Lake Sawyer in Windermere FL.
